DUNE is Now Open for Sunday Brunch

Yellowfin Tuna Crudo

DUNE, Fort Lauderdale’s seaside restaurant located at Auberge Beach Residences & Spa, is pleased to announce Sunday Brunch is now being served. Known for its California-cool vibe and coastal cuisine starring simple dishes made from fresh local ingredients, DUNE’s a la carte brunch menu will be available every Sunday from 11AM to 3PM and offers the choice to dine inside the restaurant’s light-filled airy dining room, or al fresco on the beachfront terrace overlooking the tranquil Atlantic Ocean.

In this elegant yet laidback setting, the menu curated by Executive Chef Edgar Beas boasts an inspiring mix of traditional favorites and creative selections. Start off the afternoon with items from the Seafood Counter – with raw options ranging from freshly shucked West and East Coast Oysters served with all the fixings; Ceviche Mixto comprised of grouper, octopus, Key West shrimp, leche de tigre and cucumbers or Little Neck clams. Shared Options include The Surfboard – perfectly seared scallops, Key West Shrimp, mussels, clams and oysters accompanied by herb garlic butter and charred scallion; and creamy Blue Crab & Artichoke Dip with grilled sourdough, among others.

Seared Day Boat Scallops

Salads are far from an afterthought – with either Field Greens with hearts of palm, shaved vegetables and pear vinaigrette or Sweet Little Gem Lettuce Caesar offered with add-ons like Key West Shrimp, Faroe Island Salmon or Grilled Lobster Tail. Eggs, a Sunday Brunch evergreen, can be enjoyed a variety of ways: from Chef Edgar’s soon-to-be-classic take on Huevos Rancheros with chorizo casero, Oaxaca cheese, cilantro and black beans to Charcoal Baked Eggs with a bacon and potato hash, bell pepper, onion and shaved Parmesan; or a selection of Benedicts – served with avocado, smoked salmon, or prosciutto, with an indulgent option to add a lump crab fondue.

Seafood Toasts are next level – avocado toast with heirloom tomatoes and arugula form the base, and can be topped with a choice of Maine Lobster, Blue Lump Crab, Smoked Salmon or Shrimp. And for those seeking a land-based option, Chef Edgar has an otherworldly Double Cheeseburger, topped with white cheddar, slab bacon and pickled onions (with the option to add a fried egg or crab Oscar); and Prime Skirt Steak with yucca frites, creamy mojo and cippolini jus.

Sweets are displayed on a beautiful dessert table, enticing guests from the moment they arrive. Offered a la carte, the treats include freshly baked Lemon Cream SconesOrange Pistachio Loaf Cake, an assortment of house-made Glazed Donuts, and Raspberry and Vanilla Mini Conchas – sweet Mexican breads with a crunchy topping.

The beverage program rounds out the experience with a savory Bloody Mary bar serving up traditional and non-traditional concoctions such as the Maria made with tequila and chili-lime salt, and the Red Snapper with gin and old bay seasoning. Bubbles are delivered tableside on the signature Mimosa Grove carte with top-shelf selections that include Champagne Pommery, Domaine Chandon and Avissi Prosecco paired with a mix of fresh-pressed Florida juices.

A true oasis of culinary perfection, DUNE continues to set a new standard for a unique seaside dining experience in Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant and its stunning location is also home to ongoing events, programming and musical performances inspiring guests to become frequent visitors.
