How long have you been in Miami real estate?

More than 30 years!

What’s the biggest change you have seen over the years in the real estate business?

The technology. There is so much more available to everyone – buyers, sellers and realtors ourselves.

What’s your best advice to buyers and best advice to sellers?

When purchasing a home buyers should check on school ratings, even if they don’t have kids yet, or their children are grown. Resale value is higher in the top-rated school districts as buyers like to have the option of public or private school. Also, buyers should always do a good, thorough inspection… it’s the best money you can spend! Sellers need to be realistic as comparables do not lie. Declutter inside even if it means renting a storage unit and freshen up your landscaping as curb appeal is important. Most buyers form an opinion about the house before they walk in the front door!

What three things are most important in being a successful agent?

Knowledge of the market, good communication skills and patience.

What is one thing sellers can do to ensure they get top dollar for their home?

Besides pricing it properly, the house should be de-cluttered, neat and clean.

What are your predictions for the Miami market moving forward into 2019-2020?

I think that homes under $1 million will continue to have strong sales, I see the million-dollar luxury properties moving a little slower.

Being an agent is a 24/7 job. What keeps you motivated and inspires your passion for your work?

I love what I do! It’s great meeting and working with different people to help them find their dream home!
