How long have you been in Miami real estate?

25 years

What’s the biggest change you have seen over the years in the real estate business?

The onset of Zillow, Trulia and Realtor.com has been the biggest change. Buyers and Sellers are far more educated than they have ever been.

What’s your best advice to buyers and best advice to sellers?

Find a realtor you trust and then collaborate. You are the boss and your realtor needs to hear you but, in turn, if your realtor is very experienced, depend on their expertise to navigate you through the process.

What three things are most important in being a successful agent?

Honesty, professionalism and a sense of humor.

What do you see as the up-and-coming neighborhoods for this year?

The Baptist Hospital area and Little Havana are the up-and-coming neighborhoods for 2019

What are buyers looking for today that they weren’t in past years?

Generators and updated plumbing!

What are your predictions for the Miami market?

For the last six months it has been a buyer’s market and I think it will remain that way for most of 2019. If a seller prices their home fairly, they will sell it but this is not a market to overprice a property “to see what happens.”
