Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services’ Staff Honored

Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services’ staff were recognized by the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services (Florida Network) at its annual awards luncheon held on Thursday, May 31, 2018. The Florida Network honored Miami Bridge staff member Tracy Scott, RN with the Nurse of the Year award and awarded the Miami Bridge Management Team with the 2018 President’s Award.

To commemorate its 41st anniversary, the organization recognized those who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to at-risk youth each day, creating safe pathways toward their future. Scott has worked on productive in-house and community initiatives for Miami Bridge and has been instrumental in the delivery and success achieved by the team at the Homestead campus, while also simultaneously stepping into a dual role as Miami Bridge-Homestead’s Shelter Supervisor.

“Tracy is an excellent team leader and is highly respected by all team members at both our locations. He provides tremendous support while at the same time enabling them to work independently, and this has led to the team’s high morale,” stated Dorcas Wilcox, CEO of Miami Bridge Youth & Family Services, Inc.

Miami Bridge’s Management Team was also honored with the Florida Network’s 2018 President’s award. Team members are Dorcas Wilcox, CEO; Steve Hope, Deputy CEO and CFO; Baldwin Davis, Chief Administrative and Compliance Officer; David Sharfman, Chief Facilities and Construction Officer; and Mary Behr, Chief Program Officer. This award celebrates the outstanding contributions by member agencies and the critical role they play in the fight against youth homelessness, truancy, sex trafficking of Florida’s children, and other critical issues that threaten Florida’s families.
