What are your predictions for 2024?
Prices won’t drop. They will remain stable, but we will be in a buyer’s market for the first two quarters. This will be a great opportunity for buyers to be in the driver’s seat, negotiate seller’s concession, closing costs and a lower price when the property is priced high. But after the interest rates drop (third quarter), sellers will go back to the driver’s seat and prices will adjust up.

Biggest challenge for sellers:
Understanding that real estate values are stable and this is not the time to speculate. They need to prepare their house to be the favorite one on the market — if they really want to sell.

Biggest challenge for buyers:
The interest rates are the biggest challenge but also to understand that prices won’t drop as they are expecting and buying at this time is going to be their best decision.
