Le Jardin’s 7th Annual Virtual Art and Jazz Fundraiser

Le Jardin Community Center, Inc. will proudly host its 7th annual and first ever virtual Art and Jazz Under the Stars fundraiser event on Friday, April 16th at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. ABC News Correspondent and Special Guest, Victor Oquendo, will serve as master of ceremonies for the night.

“Le Jardin continues to serve our community because of the philanthropic responsibility and commitment from our sponsors. Our mission for the coming year is to continue to build on our success as one of South Florida’s top early learning institutions for the disadvantaged. Le Jardin can only achieve that goal with the help of our donors”, says Chair of Fundraising Committee, Karin Gerardin. Eduardo Berrones, CEO, expressed his excitement, “I am excited to bring the Art and Jazz back after a ravaging year. Le Jardin has been providing high-quality comprehensive services to the Homestead/Florida City community for over 30 years and we have a compromise with the children and families we proudly serve.”

The Art and Jazz Under the Stars is an art exhibit featuring collaborations between Le Jardin’s educators, children and their parents, as well as community artists. Supporters will have the opportunity to take home beautiful renditions of art inspired by artists such as Romero Britto, Frida Kahlo, Paul Klee, Faith Ringgold, and Piet Mondrian. All of the proceeds will benefit the Early Head Start/Head Start program and allow Le Jardin to continue meeting the changing community needs during these difficult times.

Adjusting to the new normal, while overcoming obstacles, the art exhibit will go live at 7PM on Friday, April 16th through Zoom and will remain accessible for supporters until Friday, April 23rd; something Le Jardin has never done before. This is Le Jardin’s seventh consecutive year hosting the Art and Jazz event, which began as a simple educational and interactive activity for the children and their parents and has evolved into a much-awaited tradition for families and members of the community.
