“Remix” Opens at Sagamore Hotel

Miami Beach’s art aficionados and community members converged at Sagamore Hotel, for the opening reception of the hotel’s newest art exhibition, “Remix,” showcasing a wide ensemble of artworks inspired and dedicated to music by well-known and emerging, international and local artists that span all media.

“Music provides a harmonic connection between all human beings,” Sagamore Resident Art Advisor, Sebastien laboureau explains. “This show pays homage to all the artists who contributed through their music to make our world a better world. From The Beatles to Elvis, from Kurt Cobain to Nina Simone, every person who enters the Sagamore Hotel will find a part of themselves in this show.”

Guests enjoyed wine and live music, while getting an exclusive first look at the over 100 artworks on display. “Remix” aims to redefine how music is a driving source of inspiration in the fine art world with works that emphasize the true beauty and artistry of the industry not always beholden to the eye.

“Remix” showcases a diversity of artworks all dedicated to music, including hyper-realistic hand drawings of cultural contemporary icons by Robert Leone that mark his Miami debut, innovative cement portraits by Italian artist Mario Loprete, as well as whimsical and joyful photographs and assemblage by US artist Robert Rabanne. Other “Remix” exhibition highlights include award-winning photographs of music icons by Markus Klinko, 3-D metal artworks by Benda, a young Israeli artist who also makes his debut at this exhibit, and works by local artists.

“The opening of Remix exemplifies our commitment to offer visitors and the community engaging arts and cultural experiences,” says Ronit Neuman, Sagamore Principal. “Beyond our hospitality offerings, we want to continue serving as an enriching space on South Beach that is accessible to all audiences.”

On this night, several of the artists whose work is on display as part of “Remix” were in attendance and included Robert Leone, Sid Daniels, Monique Lassooij, Eva Ruiz and Teepop.

Sagamore Hotel offers hotel guests and community members a unique art experience. “Remix” is now open for all to view 24/7 and will remain on exhibition through November 30, 2019. Many of the works displayed in the “Remix” exhibition are for sale.
