Miami City Ballet
Miami’s famed company takes on classics such as George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake alongside newer icons such as Twyla Tharp’s (“In the Upper Room”) and Justin Peck (“Year of the Rabbit”) in their 30th anniversary season. But they may have saved the best for last as they mix world-class visual art and groundbreaking dramaturgy in an innovative re-imagining of Balanchine’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” the famed choreographer’s first wholly original full-length ballet crafted in America. Jessica Lang Dance at SMDCAC

Cirque Eloize iD at the Arsht Center
The stage comes alive this October with the boundless energy of acrobats, break dancers, and contortionists, who perform against a kaleidoscope of eye-popping video projections, building to a stunning finale on a one-of-a-kind video trampo wall. Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker

Flamenco Puro
You’ll have to wait until January 23 to experience this performance at Pinecrest Gardens, complete with colorful costumes, fans, castanets, Sevillanas, and Rumbas. THEATER
The Broadway hit takes over the Ziff Ballet Opera House for a 6-day February run this winter, bringing the sounds of Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and The Temptations. This is our Youth
Area Stage Company takes on Kenneth Lonergan’s famed play. In meticulous, hilarious, and agonizing detail, “This is our Youth” follows forty-eight hours of three very lost young souls in New York City at the dawn of the Reagan Era.
Constellations
This spellbinding, romantic journey (opening November 21 at GableStage) begins with a simple encounter between a man and a woman. La Traviata
