Miami-Dade College’s North Campus will launch a new summer prep program on July 20 that combines swimming training and development with dual enrollment college credit courses for eligible high school students. “North Campus is providing a remarkable opportunity for students to benefit from a program that integrates academic coursework, college readiness activities, and physical training into one intensive summer program,”said Dr. Malou C. Harrison, MDC North Campus President. “Immersing high school students into our vibrant college life will no doubt be memorable for students.” This unique program helps students get ready for their upcoming swimming and water polo seasons by enhancing and strengthening their swimming abilities. The program is open to students of all swimming levels, grades from nine through 12. In-water training sessions will focus on starts, turns, proper stroke techniques, and competition preparation, while academic sessions will emphasize college readiness, personal development, and lifelong learning skills. The program is offered at $100 per week and includes lunch.
