Park kicks off Totally Teachers Month! with free admission and a 2020 Educator Pass for teachers

Vanessa M. Valle, an English Language Arts teacher at Hialeah Gardens Senior High School has been named the 2020 Francisco R. Walker Miami-Dade County Teacher of the Year.  Miami Seaquarium, a strong supporter and advocate of marine life conservation and education, hosted Ms. Valle and her family for a special dolphin swim on February 17 to kickoff Totally Teachers month program.

Valle, a mother of three, has been teaching at Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 15 years making students’ dreams a reality. Valle is a mentor and sponsor of the Take Stock in Children program and the “Real Talk” mental health support group at her school. She spearheaded the inception of the very first National Academies Foundation Law Academy in the nation and has worked tirelessly to bring a campus courtroom to her school. Miami Seaquarium is proud to recognize her as part of the Totally Teachers celebration.

Totally Teachers month offers Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County teachers and school employees’ free admission to the Park from Feb. 29 through Mar. 29.  Teachers and school employees also will receive a 50% discount for up to four guests, so the whole family can join in on the fun. Teachers and employees must show a valid school ID card or pay stub along with a picture ID to obtain free admission.

New this year, teachers can also receive a 2020 Educator Pass granting them unlimited free admission until Dec. 31. Proof of employment and school email will be required upon registration in order to receive the 2020 Educator Pass.  For more information visit miamiseaquarium.com/educatorpass.
