Details: Pinecrest Gardens will be the stage for the 16th Annual South Motors Pinecrest Gardens Fine Arts Festival where 60 artists will exhibit their works among 14 acres of native forested wetland, tropical hardwood hammock and native cypress slough hammock from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. January 26th and 27th.

Each artist was carefully selected to show at South Florida’s premier juried fine arts festival from a pool of close to 100 painting, mixed-media, jewelry, sculpture, photography and wearable art artists. This year’s winning art poster is by internationally acclaimed Environmental Pinecrest Gardens Artist-in-Residence Xavier Cortada. Mr. Cortada often collaborates with scientists in his art-making, and has worked with groups globally to produce numerous joint art projects, including environmental installations at the North Pole and South Pole, peace murals in Cyprus and Northern Ireland, child welfare murals in Bolivia and Panama, AIDS murals in Switzerland and South Africa and eco-art projects in Taiwan and Holland.

Works from the 5th Annual Environmental Art Contest will be on display in the Hibiscus Gallery, and the Chalk Guys will be painting a 3D chalk piece. Additionally, there will be live music both days and a variety of food for sale.

Admission is free and there will be overflow parking at Miami Palmetto Senior High, Palmetto Middle School and Pinecrest Elementary schools with free shuttle service to Pinecrest Gardens via the Pinecrest People Mover.
