For more than half a century, Miami-based litigation powerhouse Podhurst Orseck has operated out of its single office in Downtown Miami where the firm was founded in 1967. But amidst an ongoing shift in the market that has seen more local companies move outside of the urban core due to rising costs and employee retention, Podhurst Orseck has announced today it will be growing its office space by nearly 20% and relocating to 2525 Ponce De Leon Blvd in the highly sought after Coral Gables submarket.
The firm will be taking 22,614 square feet of space at the Class A office building home to an already established roster of tenants. With an anticipated Q2 2025 move-in date, the brand-new office space will feature an open layout floor plan with areas for collaboration, breakout rooms and private offices, a welcoming kitchen and dining area, along with the latest state-of-the-art technology. While its permanent office location on the 7th floor continues to be built out, the firm will occupy a temporary space two floors below.
“Part of what has made our firm so successful is the family-like dynamic we have created where each member is valued, supported and empowered to thrive,” said Managing Partner Steven Marks. “This decision to relocate was made with input from all our attorneys who placed a significant emphasis on quality of life including everyone’s commute and the result was ultimately beneficial to our firm overall.”
Throughout its evolution, the name Podhurst Orseck has been associated with cases that have captured global attention. From the 1972 crash of Eastern Air Lines Flight 401 in the Florida Everglades and the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 to tragedies associated with the Boeing 737 Max 8, the largest automotive recall in history, and the Parkland tragedy, the firm has transformed from an aviation litigation pioneer to the premier global firm of its kind – all whilst keeping its attorney headcount under 20.
The state-of-the-art, 257,168-square-foot Mediterranean-style building offers tenants a grand assortment of on-site amenities including 24-hour security, a renovated fitness center, convenient car wash, courier dry cleaning service and endless dining options. Located in the heart of downtown Coral Gables, the 12-story Class A office tower provides excellent access to the Metrorail, the Coral Gables trolley, downtown Miami and Miami International Airport. Podhurst Orseck was represented by CBRE in the lease negotiations and Cushman & Wakefield represented the building’s ownership.
