Area of expertise: Master Esthetician

Specialties: I specialize in corrective skin care, which consists of conditions concerning hyperpigmentation, antiaging and acne.

What makes you stand out in your field?

My advanced certifications in skin care, treatments and products have given me in-depth knowledge in treating clients, which allows me to create customized treatment plans tailored to my clients’ specific skin concerns. By understanding how different ingredients interact with the skin, I can identify the root causes of issues and recommend different solutions. I have also partnered with skin care lines that are clean, effective and results driven, which allows me to provide my clients with optimal results.

Tips you would give a new client:

Your skin is a remarkable organ that often serves as an overall reflection of your lifestyle. It has the uncanny ability to provide overall clues about your lifestyle choices. My top tips for health skin are:

  1. Hydration and proper diet — keeps your skin hydrated and youthful
  2. Sun protection — prevents increased rick of skin cancer and premature aging
  3. Consistent skin care routine using quality products that address your skin concerns
  4. Monthly facials to help maintain your skin health

Why do clients return to you again and again?

My clients return to me because they understand I genuinely care about their skin care journey and I am results driven. As their esthetician, I focus on both short- and long-term results. They trust in my expertise and my ability to help them resolve and maintain their skin health. Overall, I think my welcoming personality, knowledge and open communication is why clients always return again and again. I’m lucky not only to have amazing clients, but I have created great friendships as well.

Advice for someone in pursuit of maximum health:

Well, the technical answer would be to get enough sleep, to manage your stress levels, regular exercise and proper diet; but I’m more of a practical person. Yes, all those things are important; but for me, maximum health means balance. In my opinion, too much of anyone thing throws everything off-balance. Exercise is great, but so is rest and meditation. Having a proper diet is essential, but enjoying a slice of birthday cake brings happiness. Having a good balance between physical and mental health is where you will find maximum health.

Wellness activity you most enjoy:

I am a runner. It’s where I can disconnect, listen to an amazing podcast and decompress. Running is how I release every emotion and struggle and when I feel the most clear minded. Running is where I brainstorm out how to solve problems or come up with creative ideas. It is usually the only time I usually have to myself where I am doing something amazing for both my mind and body.

Book you would recommend:

I listen to books or podcasts on morning runs. One book I really loved is 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson, and a close runner-up is Atomic Habits by James Clear.

What inspires you?

People inspire me. In my profession, I have the privilege of meeting new people from all walks of life. We are in my treatment room for at least an hour. I love getting to know my clients and their life stories, the struggles and life accomplishments. I have laughed so hard and cried, and at times, it can be like a therapy session. I’ve learned so much from so many people that have walked through my doors. It is amazing what we can learn from one another if we take the time to make meaningful connections.
