The Village of Pinecrest Receives Funding

Pinecrest will be receiving $606,000 for stormwater drainage projects in the Village from the federal government.

The Omnibus Bill was approved by the U.S. Senate March 10 and signed by the President. This most recent appropriation will match another $9,593,852 in federal funding secured earlier this fiscal year through the American Rescue Plan, to build water and storm water infrastructure throughout the community.

“We are so excited to learn that Pinecrest is the recipient of more than $606,000 in funding for stormwater projects through the 2022 Omnibus Bill. We need to thank Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar for all her hard work and communications over the past two years,” said Pinecrest Mayor Joseph M. Corradino.

“Pinecrest has never been so successful in attaining federal and state funding for its projects. In the past 12 months, we secured more than $11,700,000. Not only the most money ever, but nearly more money than we have cumulatively secured over the previous 25 years since incorporation. This most recent accomplishment, together with the lowering of taxes, high property values and another all-time low crime rate in the Village, is something we can all be proud of. Our efforts go straight to our citizens’ bottom line.”
