Windows That Wow

If you’re looking for stylish, sophisticated coverings to take your windows to the next level, Reef Window Treatments has you covered.

If you’ve ever shopped for new window treatments for your home, you know the wide variety of choices available can be overwhelming. You also probably noticed that there is a whole lot of competition in the space.

Choosing window coverings that are a perfect complement to your home and your style takes a trusted partner — someone who can walk you through the options and help you make the best choice. With Reef Window Treatments, that’s exactly what you’ll get.

Years of Experience

The Reef Window Treatments story begins in 2011, when Kenny Beland — a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program — opened his first window treatments store in the community of Ocean Reef in Key Largo. At that point, Beland already had more than 10 years of experience in the business; and he soon expanded to a second location in Islamorada.

Both locations continue to flourish, but they were just the beginning of what was to come: a newly opened Reef Window Treatments gallery that features Hunter Douglas products at the Dixie Pointe Shopping Center in the South Miami area. This business was a collaboration between Beland and his mom/co-owner Ivette Day, and it represents a bold, customer-centric approach to the window coverings business.

Day has spent the past 20 years in the hospitality industry planning events at some of the most iconic locations throughout South Florida, including the Rusty Pelican, Chart House, Smith & Wollensky and the former Versace Mansion. Having earned an executive MBA at Florida International University, her dream was to start her own business where she could apply her sales and business development background.

“I was thrilled when Kenny presented the opportunity to become partners and open Hunter Douglas’s new gallery concept,” says Day. “It’s the first of its kind in Miami-Dade.”

A Whole New Way to Shop

If you haven’t paid a visit to Reef Window Treatments’ new Hunter Douglas Gallery, you are in for a treat. Their 1,200-foot showroom of products lets you view and try out window coverings you might want for your home in ways that you may never have experienced before. “Hunter Douglas is the market leader in window fashions, with the widest selection of motorized window treatments in the industry,” says Day. “We have a large selection on display in our showroom, where you can completely experience a range of automated products.”

In terms of variety, you’ll be hard-pressed to beat the selection at Reef Window Treatments: plantation shutters, banded shades, wood blinds, Roman shades and more. Both motorized and nonmotorized options are available. “We also offer fabrics for custom shades or drapery, as well as many beautiful and unique wallpaper designs,” says Day. “In addition, we have experience in the marine industry and with large commercial projects such as restaurants and hotels.”

Unparalleled Customer Service

Of course, Reef Window Treatments’ team of associates know how to put the customer first as well. With all these choices, it’s important to have a friendly, knowledgeable professional who can listen to your needs and help you make the right choice. “Our design consultants will guide you through the entire process and help you select the window treatment to best serve you and your family’s needs,” says Day. “For measuring and installation, we only use Hunter Douglas–certified installers. As a gallery dealer, we also can exclusively offer the Hunter Douglas Right Choice Promise, offering customers additional peace of mind.”
