Righting the Wrongs

The goal has been simple since day one: Fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. For more than three decades, Panter, Panter & Sampedro, P.A. (PPS) advocates for the rights of individuals who were injured by another’s negligence. In doing so, they’re able to affect larger changes like laws and safety guidelines that keep Florida’s families safe. “We are first and foremost a family working together to help other families,” says Mitch Panter, managing partner of PPS. “It’s really about family first,” adds David Sampedro, partner at PPS. “We remember that clients have their families to take care of, and that they’ve come to us to try to put that together in one fashion or another.”

PPS is a personal injury law firm taking cases and achieving outstanding results in every type of personal injury accident. Most recently, PPS stepped up to advocate for local small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We represent people as if they are part of our family,” continues Mitch. “When the case is over with, we continue to check up on our clients. For example, if a client receives a large settlement, we make sure that they are protected with a structured settlement when available to support the client for the remainder of their life and to assist their family in their absence.”

“We bring personalized attention. We call ourselves a family firm, and have the resources and talent to effectively represent all of our clients. We are able to give our clients the individualized attention that they expect, deserve and need.”

Earlier this year, the firm promoted Josh Wintle, who has been with PPS since 2008, to partner. Wintle has participated in multiple jury trials resulting in multi-million dollar verdicts, and has significant experience in cases focusing on worker’s compensation immunity and construction accident liability. He has also served in a leadership role in the community and legal field in various organizations.

“We have a saying,” tells Mitch. “Bigger isn’t always better.” Through personalized service and tough advocacy, PPS stands out in the crowd. When they take on a case, it is a team-wide effort to work together to get the best results possible. “We bring personalized attention,” adds Brett Panter, founding partner of PPS. “We call ourselves a family firm, and have the resources and talent to effectively represent all of our clients. We are able to give our clients the individualized attention that they expect, deserve and need.”

In addition to a personalized approach, the team is renowned for their proficiency, professionalism, robust advocacy, and steadfast determination to protect the rights of their clients and make their communities a better place. As Board Certified Civil Trial Attorneys, Brett, Mitch, and David each have demonstrated expertise in their areas earning them a certification that is granted to only seven percent of eligible Florida Bar Members. This dedicated approach is adopted by the entire team working at PPS, including the next generation.

Encompassing family values at PPS also means strong involvement in the community. The firm’s active philanthropy includes scholarships, donations, sponsorships, educational outreach efforts, and volunteerism. Year after year, PPS has sponsored several college scholarship awards programs that benefit deserving high school students. In addition, members of the firm have volunteered at elementary, middle, and high schools for Law Day, Career Day, Mock Trial Programs, We the People Legal Studies, Carnival, and many other educational programs.

Recently, the firm purchased pizzas from APizza Brooklyn to donate to the Village of Pinecrest law enforcement, as well as to healthcare workers at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

“Because we’ve been able to evolve without sacrificing quality, we have also been able to give back both in time and monetarily to the community that we have lived and worked in for so long,” says Mitch. “We truly view our community as an extension of our family.”
