5 Fun and Simple Things to Do With Your Dog This Summer

There is so much to do during the summer. And even though this season may not look like how they did in the past, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy the sunshine safely. Whether you take the time as a full family or just want it to be some quality time with you and your pup, there are so many fun things to do with your dog this summer. Take a look at some of our favorites, and see what adventure awaits!

Head Out for a Beach Visit

There’s no better way to spend the summer than at the beach, but it’s going to look a little different this summer. Take the precautions you can when we have a pandemic on our hands-choose a less crowded beach, stay as far away from others as possible, and limit your interactions in public. So if you have that private little beach nearby, go there, and bring your pup along! Make sure to bring all the beach day dog must-haves and plenty of drinking water-and enjoy!

Make Some Yummy Summer Dog Treats

If you’re looking for a quick way to pamper your pup, then try this. Just as baking and cooking are a great way to get a human in your good graces, it’s basically the same idea with a dog. Make some homemade dog treats-check out these awesome treats from Rover, from popsicles to cookies, or you could even put a toy in an ice cube tray and have them play with that.

Go on a Hike

If your furry friend likes adventure and doesn’t mind getting active, then spruce up your morning walks and take a hike instead. There’s so much to love about hiking with your pup! Pay attention to ensure that the hike isn’t too strenuous for them and that you’ve packed plenty of water. We may enjoy the sunshine of summer, but that heat can often be too much to bear.

Take a Little Camping Trip

In a similar sense, why not make it a whole weekend full of hikes and nature? Plan a little camping trip on your caravan for the family and your furry friend. It may also be a good idea to get some custom fabrication done on your caravan so that you’ve enough space to store everything. It’s an excellent way to get that vacation feeling without putting anyone at risk, and your dogs will love the time outdoors. You’re going to want to pack similarly to the beach day items, but include more food, snacks, and a space that’s just for them. They can get antsy on camping trips if they don’t have a space to “unwind.”

Bring Them With on a Picnic

One of our favorite simple things to do with your dog this summer is to take them with you on your picnic! Maybe you’re having one in the backyard, or you’ve taken some food to a park nearby-either way, you can also invite your dog. Bring some of their favorite snacks, a few toys, and some water, and let them enjoy this relaxing time with you!
