Doral Shows Love for Brazil with Special Night of Photography, Culture and Fun!

On September 10, 2019, the Doral Government Center will celebrate Brazil’s rich culture and diversity with the Doral Hearts Brazil event.  The reception and photography exhibit a “Traveler’s Diary” proudly honors Brazil’s 197th Independence Anniversary. This cultural collaboration, now in its third year, is free and open to the public, featuring delicious Brazilian hors d’oeuvres, music and more!

There will not be a shortage of colorful Brazilian culture for the night, with photography from award-winning, Brazilian artists living in South Florida such as Ale Bomeny, Brunella Costa, Caetano Lopes, Carlos Bueno, Eduardo Schneider, Ivonete Leite, Maritza Caneca, Mariza Formaggini, Messi Schneider, and Ronira Fruhstuck. The photography exhibition will showcase Brazil’s highly diverse culture, people and landscaping.

Students of the Portuguese Program and National Portuguese Honor Society from Ronald Reagan Doral Senior High School also captured images of Brazil in the City of Doral which they will showcase. The result is an exhibition featuring photographs that reveal the presence of Brazil’s people, food, music, faith, language, culture right here in our neighborhood. The exhibit, curated by Christopher Barake in collaboration with Mariza Formaggini, will be on display for the public to experience at the Doral Government Center (1st floor) on weekdays from 8:00am- 4:00pm, until September 13th.

Doral truly does love Brazil and it was made evident by this great celebration congratulating Brazil, its citizens and those of Brazilian descent for their cultural richness and contributions to the world. We thank our partner, Maria Fulfaro, Event Producer from Simply Marketing and our kind sponsors, Consulate General of Brazil in Miami, Brazil Experience, Dorcam, Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, Lang Realty, AB Catering, Sagrado, and inDoral Magazine for helping make this event a reality.
