A Grand Night for Singing

Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Wolfson Opera/Musical Theatre Ensemble will perform its rendition of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “A Grand Night for Singing” on Friday, December 7. The performance is directed by MDC faculty Amy Davis and Alan Ngim and choreographed by MDC alumni Samantha Pazos.

First launched on Broadway in 1993, this first-rate two act revue features songs from lesser-known musical works such as “Allegro,” “Flower Drum Song,” “State Fair,” and “Pipe Dream” and hits like “Carousel,” “Oklahoma!,” “The King and I,” “South Pacific,” and “The Sound of Music.”

Songs will be performed by students from the Miami Dade College Wolfson Opera/Musical Theatre Ensemble, an intensive program for those interested in pursuing a career in musical, operatic, and theatrical performances. The program expands the student’s level of stage experience providing the necessary skills to become a successful leader in today’s music industry.

Tickets are $15 for general admission; $8 for MDC students, faculty and staff with ID. Purchase at https://bit.ly/2K7dM0n
