La Cerveceria de Barrio Celebrates the Launch of its First U.S. Outpost with a Star-Studded Grand Opening

La Cerveceria de Barrio held its grand opening on Lincoln Road to celebrate the launch of the restaurant brand’s first U.S. location. More than 300 guests including Spanish celebrities, local VIPs, culinary and latin media, attended the party. The restaurant is officially open to the public today, August 31.

The night was graced by the presence of Mexican telenovela stars Carmen Aub, Victor Gonzalez and Tony Vela, as well as NWA World Heavyweight Champion Blue Demon Jr., and Puerto Rican singer Charlie Masso.

Evening festivities included a photobooth that put guests in the middle of a luchador match, a temporary tattoo station, a custom Snapchat selfie filter of a luchador mask, a guacamole-making station, a ribbon cutting ceremony, a mural unveiling inspired by Blue Demon Jr. with the renowned Mexican wrestler, and a surprise video message from Mexican actor, director and producer Diego Luna.

Guests also enjoyed a selection of complimentary bites from La Cerveceria’s new menu including the Signature Habanero Aguachile, Ceviche de Barrio and Shrimp Tostada and sipped on Mexican libations such as the signature Mango Margarita and Clamatos.

With over 30 locations in Mexico, the seafood cantina’s ocean-focused menu features 15 different varieties of shellfish, more than 100 different beers, 300 types of tequila and 100 types of mezcal.

The 3,560-square-foot eatery is located at 836 Lincoln Road, an eight-block pedestrian-only promenade which serves as South Florida’s premier outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment destination.

Spearheaded by Miami-based V&E Restaurant Group, a culinary industry pioneer behind some of the most recognized and finest restaurants located in Miami Beach, Mexico and Las Vegas since 1985, La Cerveceria de Barrio continues the celebrations with a weekend of giveaways to guests who visit the restaurant.

The founders of La Cerveceria de Barrio, who are also co-owners of V&E Restaurant Group and COA Group, chose Miami as the first U.S. outpost location of the restaurant due to the city’s growing gastronomic scene and premier financial hub for international business.
