Students Explore Educational Options at 2018 National College Fair

Miami-Dade County Public Schools had another phenomenal success with the 2018 College Fair held last Sunday at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel. More than 10,000 students and parents attended the four-hour event where representatives from 200 colleges and universities provided information about admissions, housing, and financial aid, among other things.

“The College Fair provides students and parents with easy access and excellent information about educational opportunities,” said School Board Chair Perla Tabares Hantman, who has co-chaired Miami-Dade’s College Fair for 21 consecutive years. “It is a wonderful and beneficial way for students to becomeinformed and discover the academic choices available to them.”

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and Miami-Dade County Public Schools sponsored the free event.
