Gift Guidance

Maurice’s Andrew Koppel, and daughters, talk hot holiday gifts (and free jewelry)

Now four generations strong, Maurice’s (named for founder Maurice Koppel), is a household name for most South Florida families. “The best part of our business is being that hometown, trusted jeweler for so many families,” says Andrew Koppel. “Some begin their journey with us when getting engaged, and then as their family grows, we become part of some of the biggest moments in their lives-birthdays, children’s graduation and eventually those children become our clients. We have personal connection with so many of our clients that makes what we do so important and special.”

No time is that personal connections more evident than when the holidays roll around. Sending families straight to Maurice’s Jewelers. “My sisters and I have tried to create a product mix and marketing campaign that appeals to all generations and styles that are current and trending, and at every price point no matter what your budget.” says Kierstin. “When you walk into our store our staff is up to date on the latest trends; we make it a point to get to know our clients style preferences and budget, which provides a personalized shopping experience.”

In the spirit of holiday shopping, we spoke with Kierstin about the store’s upcoming “Free Jewelry Event,” how to choose the right piece and the hot gifts for 2019.

When does the event start and end?

This event is the most anticipated event of the year. The Free Jewelry Event started November 15th and runs until December 31st! We want our customers to get ahead of the Black Friday rush and have the entire holiday shopping season to explore the incredible shopping opportunities during this event. You can literally check off your entire list in our store, never enter a mall and surprise your loved ones with beautiful one of a kind gifts that will last a lifetime. We have jewelry collections in every price range. The more jewelry you buy the more jewelry you can get free.

What’s included?

Mostly all jewelry in the store is included in the event, a little over 7,000 items qualify! The more you buy the more jewelry you get free. The only things excluded are PANDORA, Cartier and Rolex.

What’s popular this season?

Diamond tennis bracelets and diamond tennis necklaces are one of the most popular trend this season. They are the perfect staple to wear alone or to layer with other pieces. We have a stunning baguette diamond flower collection that has been a customer favorite as well. Additionally, hoops are back! Pairing a hoop earring with huggies or a stud is a popular way to style the ear. Some great gifts that are consistently best sellers include our initial jewelry, stackable rings, mama collection and our celestial moon & star collection.

Give me three ways to figure out what to get someone.

If you’re trying to figure out what to get someone on your list it’s great to consider their personal style and their lifestyle. If they are a new mom maybe a meaningful mommy necklace or something that symbolizes their child, if they are a fashionista a stackable bangle or layering necklace might be the way to go. They good thing is that you can’t go wrong in our store- the selection is endless. From classic diamond studs and engagement rings to fashion jewelry. Make sure to check with one of our associates to see if the person you are buying for has created a wish list with us already… or you can always send them in to create one!
