Pinecrest Police looking for at least two men who burglarized three houses yesterday, one occupied

Pinecrest, Fla. – At least two suspects reportedly broke into three Pinecrest homes between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 16th. One of the homes in the 11200 block of Southwest 71st Avenue was occupied by a teen, who told police that a black man with a blue shirt and black slacks knocked on the front door. Minutes later, the teen heard glass shattering in one of the home’s bedrooms. Police arrived within two minutes, causing the burglar to drop the stolen items and flee on foot.

A driver who was waiting outside in a 2014 champagne Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows fled as police arrived. The driver then attempted to ram the car of a second officer, who was in pursuit of the Malibu.

The suspects got away. Video of the car is available on request.

Items stolen from the two other houses included jewelry and electronics valued at $3,300.

If anyone recognizes the car or has information about the burglars please call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477) or the Pinecrest Police Department 305-234-2100.
