Best Ways to Improve Your Binge-Watching Experience

Best Ways to Improve Your Binge-Watching Experience

There are so many great shows coming from Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Disney+, and other services. A popular phenomenon that has come from streaming services is binge-watching multiple episodes of a series in a row. This can be a time commitment, so here are some ways to improve your binge-watching experience.

Change How You Watch

The first move you can make to instantly improve your binge-watch is to upgrade what you are watching on. Instead of watching episodes on your laptop or smartphone, add to your home theater. Add speakers so you can hear better, upgrade your TV to 4K, and consider getting a projector. With so much content that is now available from the comfort of our home, it’s not a bad idea to invest in your own personal theater.

Get Comfortable

The last way to improve your binge-watching experience is to get comfortable. This may seem like a no brainer, but we recommend you put on some comfortable clothes, grab some pillows, a few blankets, and enjoy yourself. Bing-watching shouldn’t be a tedious experience. Change positions on the couch or bed throughout the binge-watch if you need to as well.

Take Breaks

While you become invested in whatever season of the show you are watching, don’t forget to take breaks from the screen now and then. Staring at a TV for long periods can be dangerous due to the blue light that the screen emits. Take a quick break before you start the next episode or consider wearing blue light blocking glasses.

Don’t Drink Too Much

While you still want to remain hydrated as you enjoy your show, be conscious about how much you are drinking. While it’s important to take breaks, you don’t want to get up every 10 minutes because you have to go to the bathroom. Go to the bathroom before each episode starts and only drink throughout when you are feeling thirsty.

Enjoy Quiet Snacks/Food

Another thing that is common to indulge in as you binge is some kind of snack or a meal. To avoid any disruption during the show, choose snacks and foods that are a bit quieter. So, maybe go for something such as a pizza and avoid chips.

Put Your Phone Away

Our smartphones often consume us—even when we are enjoying something else. To enjoy a show in the best way possible, put your phone away. This will allow you to invest in the story completely and not miss any important details.
