And on Saturday, Dec. 7, the gallery opens a new show at its Cutler Bay home. • Dec. 6 – Biscayne National Park, 9700 SW 328 St., 6-10 p.m. The show, “In the Park, Outta the Box,” presents the beauty and seldom-seen aspects of the park in both unique and traditional manners. Art of various mediums will be showcased. “The artists from The Outsider Gallery are honored to have this opportunity to work with the park and show their talent at the Dante Fascell Visitor Center Gallery,” said Brian Trainor, one of the artists coordinating the gallery.” The show will continue through Feb. 23, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free. • Dec. 7 – The Outsider Gallery, 20412 Old Cutler Road, 6-10 p.m. The show, “Do You Believe in Make Believe,” reflects life before technology and computers. In addition to presenting a wide variety of artistic styles, the gallery will also have an open mic for local musicians, singers, writers, poets and storytellers. The gallery will continue its support of charities that benefit the community with 100% of proceeds going to Feeding South Florida. The agency distributes emergency food supplies to families and individuals facing difficult times. Admission is free, but every $2 raffle ticket sale for local goods and services makes it possible for 12 meals to be served. For more information, go to FeedingSouthFlorida.org. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Artists or performers interested in participating, as well as individuals and companies wishing to support the efforts to bring more art to the Outsider Gallery in Cutler Bay, or to contribute to a partnering cause or charity, may contact the gallery at OutsiderGallery@comcast.net.
